How to involve dads in your wedding

>

There we were sitting at our dining table planning our wedding when I got a text from my dad. It was simple like all dad texts are, “How’s the wedding?” I realized, “Oh, man! I haven’t asked his opinion on much of anything!

With Father’s Day one days away, it was like it was suppose to write.

We get caught up in all the details of how to make our guests have an amazing experience that I totally didn’t think about how to involve my dad in all the planning.

Here are a few tips on how to include your dad and your soon to be father-in-law.

It’s really simple actually!
.

JUST ASK HIM. He know’s what he’s good at!

.

As you already know, dads are a little different from moms.

+ If your dad was the one who went back to school shopping for clothes and was always on fleek when it came to his own outfits than he might be the perfect person to help pick THE dress.
.

+ If your dad was the one who always ordered the nice vino or that fancy drink, ask him to help pick the custom cocktail for the hour before dinner.
.

+ If your dad was the one who always made you make a schedule because he couldn’t understand how anyone could get anything done without one, then ask him to go over all the details of the day. He’ll anticipate things you hadn’t even thought of!
.

+ If your dad was the one who took you to all the daddy-daughter dances, then coordinate an epic father-daughter dance. It doesn’t actually have to be coordinated just something that shows his personality and your relationship.
.

Make it about the two of you and he’ll love it and feel really involved in the best way possible.
.

If you’re trying to figure out a way to make your soon to be father-in-law, talk to your partner and again figure out something that really speaks to the relationship.
.

It’s that simple!
.

Just ask him what would make him feel the most involved.
